Die Gefängnis- Der Inoffizielle Spitzname Ostdeutschlands, wegen seines Mangels an politischer und sozialer Freiheit. Sie waren aufgelegt, dass Sie in einem großem Gefängnis lebten. It was the unofficial nickname of Eastern Germany, because of ones lack of political and social freedom. One felt that you lived in a big prison in the DDR.

Der Grenzübergangspunkt- Der Punkt in der Grenze war, als Sie waren, erlauben abzureisen, wenn Sie den DDR verlassen, aber Sie durch denselben Weg zurückkommen müssen. The border crossing point what the point at which you would cross into other countries, however you must come back through the same point when you returned.

Die Innerdeutsche Grenze- Als innerdeutsche Grenze, wurde die 1378 km lange Grenze zwischen der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bezeichnet. Es wurde durch Meilen von Wänden, mit Stacheln angeschlossen und Maschinengewehren geschützt. Der Mauerfall- Die Berliner Mauer fiel in der Nacht Donnerstag, der 9. November, und war am Freitag, dem 10. Reisefreiheit- In der DDR ein mann könte nicht ihren land verlassen. Sie müssten Genehmigung haben zu verlassen, aber sie könnten nur kommunismus lander zureisen. In the GDR one could not leave their country. They would have to have approval to leave, but they could travel only communist countries often.

Republikflucht- Wenn ein Bürger ohne Genehmigung das Land verliess, nannte man das Republikflucht. If a citizen left the land without approval, one called the republic escape.

Schmuggeln- Etwas illegal über eine Grenze bringen. Bringing somtheing illegal over the border, in this instance people who wished to leave the DDR.

SED- Die Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands (SED) war eine politische Partei in DDR, Es war die einzige erlaubte politische Partei im DDR. Es wurde vom Sozialist Partei Deutchland (SPD) und dem Kommunist Partei Deutchland (KPD) gebildet. The socialist united party of Germany (SED) was a political party in the DDR, It was the only permissible political party in the DDR. It was formed by SPD and GCP

Sonnenallee

Micha also has to deal with the problem of being probably the only sane member of his family. His sister changes boyfriends more often than she changes her underwear, his father fakes epilepsy just to get a telephone installed and his uncle smuggles goods from the West which they already have in the East. The communist east shown here is full of misguided eccentrics and loveable rogues and the guards are incompetent and sloppy enough to keep the mood of the film for the most part up beat. Much like Life is Beautiful the characters live in a fairy tale which still retains a dark underlying reality. The novel on which the film is based, Am kürzeren Ende der Sonnenallee (At the Shorter End of Sonnenallee), was written by Thomas Brussig. MUFTI is a German acronym for Multi Function Table.

Das Leben der Anderen

1. The stasi in the film operate with same proficentcy one expects of any secret organization, namely in the film the stasi use intimadation and and wire tapping.

2.Wiesler is an intersting character he starts out not really caring about the consecquences of his actions until he finds out that Christa-Maria Sieland is having an affair with that old guy that he cares about what he does.

3.Sie ist ein Schauspielerin und die Freundin von dreyman. Ihre Staerken sind, dass sie ein Sorgen und mitleidsvolle Person ist und ihre Schwächen sind ihre Drogenabhängigkeit und ihre Karriere.

4. Die Beziehung zwischen Georg und Christa-Maria Sieland ist nicht sehr stark. Sie gibt ihm bis zum stasi nach dem Bedrohen ihrer Drogenabhängigkeit, und sie behält die Angelegenheit ein Geheimnis. gespannt und unbehaglich würde diese Beziehung beschreiben.
